Amsterdam Botanic Garden 'Hortus Botanicus' is one of the oldest botanical
gardens in the world offering a highly renowned collection. Originally, the botanical garden was established as Hortus Medicus, a herb garden with medical plants for Amsterdam.
Nowadays, this unique botanical garden exhibits more than 6000 different plants, including native trees, plants, herbs and shrubs. Some of the plants are as 200 years old. Some of the highlights of the garden are the Evolution Route and the Tree Route with some of the most attractive and interesting trees to see!
