Amsterdamse bos is a 10 square kilometers park offering a gorgeous patch of woods, marshlands, grassy plains and ponds. The winding walking and bike paths throughout the park are the ideal routes to get lost in nature and have a break from the urban and chaotic Amsterdam. There’s also a Japanese garden, cafés and an open theatre. Bikes, canoes and pedal boats can be hired at the main entrance. There are six routes for walkers, a 13.5km cycle route and a canoe route marked by colored poles. Entrance is free. To get there take buses 170, 171 or 172 from Central Station.
