Vondelpark is one of the best places to be on a sunny bright day for a stroll among the little winding paths and peaceful trees. The park was built between the 1860’s and
1870’s and was named after the famous Dutch poet Joost van del Vondel. Vondelpark is full of life and activity. Amsterdamers love to spend their afternoons laying on the grass, reading and enjoying nature. At Vondelpark, musicians perform regularly and from June to August free concerts are held in the open air theatre.
Getting there is very easy, use tram lines 1, 2, 5 or 6.
