St. John's church - This interesting 13th century church contains quite a few things worth seeing. The nave and first tower were built during 1132 and 1218 in early gothic style. Eventually the tower was destroyed by a tornado and the present one was rebuilt during 1400 and 1450. A very unique pulpit, various wall paintings, a magnificent organ, memorial stones and tombstones and last but not the least the 70metres high tower with a splendid view of Maastricht make this church a popular attraction. Admission fee for adults costs € 1.50, for children € 0,50.
