  • proof of registration with Municipal Administration (GBA) where you will be staying in the Netherlands (€10);
  • copy of employment contract;

After having done that, you need to send the filled out form to the following address:
Douane Zuid, afdeling verhuisboedel
Postbus 6470
5600 HL Eindhoven

You should wait for their reply stating whether or not the exemption authorization has been granted to import car. Once you receive the authorization letter, you need to make an appointment at an inspection station of the Dutch Transport Authority (RDW) so that your car can be inspected. The closest RDW inspection station to Maastricht is in Elsloo. Don’t forget to take the authorization letter with you!

The car inspection takes approximately an hour and costs about € 150. You will receive a BMP form which you need to fill out and hand it in to the Customs BPM Office, located in the same building of the RDW inspection station. After having submitted the BPM return and paid the due BPM fee, unless authorization is granted, you will automatically receive a vehicle registration certificate by post within 5 working days.
After that, it is your responsibility to obtain a Dutch license plate. You can get one at a certified garage by presenting the vehicle registration certificate for your import car.
