Parking close to city centers in the Netherlands can be time consuming and not always easy. Most of the designated parking places have to be paid through automatic machines which normally can be found a few meters away from the parking place. Usually one has to pay for parking on Monday to Saturday from 8:00am to 6:00pm. Also, on Thursdays and other days of late night shopping until 9:00pm.
Spread around the center, one can find several big parking garages. Direction signs from access roads to the city center will lead you to one of these garages.
Some of the parking places in residential areas are reserved to residents and permit holders. These parking places are marked with a yellow circle and should not be used at any time of the day, seven days a week.
