Cinemas in the Netherlands are most of the time located in the city centre. The main cinema groups in the Netherlands include Pathé and Utopolis. They operate within different venues around the Netherlands and you can make reservations online via their websites. Pathé is the largest chain of cinemas in the Netherlands, with 22 locations all over the country.
Principally, movies are shown in the native language and are subtitled in Dutch. Alternatively, if the film is in Dutch there will often be English subtitles. The movies for kids are usually released both ways – subtitled in an original version and dubbed.
Pathé offers the possibility to watch unlimited movies 19 euros per month! The Pathé Unlimited Card (PUC), which gives unlimited entrance to any of its cinemas in the Netherlands.
