Basilica of Our Beloved Lady - With a dark bricked facade, this Basilica gives you the impression of a fortress. In fact, during the many historic sieges Maastricht had to endure, this Basilica was a stronghold of the city defenses. This 12th century medieval Basilica is supported by huge impressive columns and displays significant architectural features.
The Treasure House of the Basilica displays a vast collection of ecclesiastical art and artifacts.
The Basilica is opened to the public daily, but not during service hours.The Treasure House can be visited daily from Easter to Autumn, 11:00am to 5:00pm and on sundays from 1:00 to 5:00pm.
