Rotterdam is a vibrant international city. It has an extremely modern landscape with high rise towers and creative architecture. The city accommodates 600,000 people with a cocktail of 160 different nationalities. The Rotterdam region reaches a population of around 1.2 million inhabitants.

Rotterdam gives you an international feeling, mainly due to the fact that this city has been the world’s largest port for over forty years. Today, it’s the largest port in the world. More than a vibrant business community, it has much to offer on the cultural and entertainment scene.

What makes Rotterdam a very attractive cultural city are the number of museums such as the World Art Museum, the Historical Museum of Rotterdam, the Netherlands Photo Museum, Museum Boijmans van Beuningen, the Kunsthal, the Netherlands Architecture Institute and the Maritime Museum.

Rotterdam has an average of some four million visitors per year. With it’s variety of attractions this city is the place to see. The Euromast Space Tower, 184 meters long, is the highest building of the city. The tower has a high-tech revolving sit-down elevator and offers impressive views over the city and the industrial harbour scenery.

One of Rotterdam’s many attractions include the Diergaarde Blijdorp, a huge zoo which includes an Oceanium, where visitors can walk through a tunnel surrounded by seascape and a variety of marine life.

For party people, Rotterdam offers a wide variety of nightlife attractions including popular places such as The Thalia, Now & Wow, Off Corso and Baja Beach Club.
